To meet, greet and befriend patients throughout their visit. To assist with the provision of refreshments and meals.
• Meet and greet patients on arrival. • Assist with provision of refreshments and assist with meals • Take patients orders. • Befriend/Chat to patients. • Ensure patient information is passed onto staff ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times. • Assist with activities, as appropriate. • To work with other members of BDH in general tasks to ensure a quality, holistic service. • Maintain standards and professional boundaries. • Attend training and supervision sessions. • Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Department Manager. • Ensure all fire, health and safety requirements are observed and be aware of individual responsibility for the safety of everyone. • Publicise the work of the Hospice in accordance with its aims and philosophies
