Volunteer Fundraisers in Major Donor Fundraising Team
Empowering Vulnerable Children Uganda
We are a Christian charity providing a future, through education, for some of the poorest children in the world. We are looking to recruit Volunteer Fundraisers in Major Donor Fundraising Team
We are a Christian charity providing a future, through education, for some of the poorest children in the world. Where we work there is a great deal of suffering including AIDS, malaria, typhoid, cholera and malnutrition. Many children go to bed hungry at night. The families we work with have no running water or electricity. For the children we support education is their only route out of poverty and despair. Their needs are simply overwhelming. EVC funds their education and also builds classrooms, nurseries, dormitories, water bore holes for clean water and school materials. All funds raised for these purposes goes directly there, nothing is taken out for admin which is funded elsewhere. Volunteers manage the Charity in the UK and running costs are low. We require Volunteer Fundraisers in Major Donor Fundraising Team. The role involves: • Proven ability to raise funds from a variety of sources. • Be a member of the MDF team and be able to work together with Trustees. • Ability to tell compelling stories of EVC`s impact in Uganda. • Organise fundraising events. • Fundraise through social media. • Research companies, trusts and other potential funders. • Identify new donor prospects. • Make funding applications. • Work effectively with donors and prospective donors and build trust and rapport with them. • Develop skills and expertise in asking for major gifts. • Distribute marketing materials. • Undertake Admin duties. • Report to the Head of Major Donor Fundraising.
