Being part of a team of volunteers providing ad hoc support to local people. This might be a lift to the hospital, collecting shopping, helping with a basic gardening task or just popping in for a cuppa and a chat. You will have a DBS check and Safeguarding training and be supported by the GNS Support Officer and the Good Neighbour team. You can do as much or as little as you choose - every job will make a difference to someone.
volunteer with your local GNS to provide help to residents in your village. They may need a lift to the hospital or help with their shopping. They may have a one off garden task they cannot manage or just want a chat and a cup of tea. You could join the setting up team - roles include secretary, chair and treasurer - you you might want to be a phone holder to take calls and help to find an available volunteer.
