We require general help with loading and unloading of vehicles and assisting with driving and drivers mates roles. It is a varied role where you wont get bored but you do need to be physically fit as there is a significant amount of lifting and moving of stock.
NOAH Enterprise is an incorporated Charity and for 25 years we have worked with the most disadvantaged in Luton providing welfare, training, housing advice and support, and running a social enterprise. The Furniture Store sells pre-used and new furniture, beds, white goods and other items. This is not just a retail outlet, it is here that furniture is restored and white goods refurbished and in the process people are given work experience, taught skills and acquire those most precious attributes of self-confidence, self-esteem and self-respect. This role involves moving goods from people’s homes in a professional and polite manner as well as loading / offloading goods from the vehicle. Volunteers must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items of furniture. - Assist driver in loading and unloading vehicle - Calling customers - Secure loads effectively on vehicles - Work with the driver to deliver goods into properties - Help customers- good customer service skills - Moving loads between vehicle - Some picking and packing of goods - General warehouse duties to meet demands Times available: anytime Mon – Sat between 09.00 & 17.00
